    I think I can now attribute this to the fact that I haven't fully embraced the concept of a predominantly starch diet. I feel like I was still depriving myself of carbs and because of that I was probably limiting my overall calorie intake. I was still hungry all the time and really struggled with cravings, which made it harder to resist temptation and sometimes made me fall back into old habits. By increasing my starchy intake with foods I had previously restricted (e.g. potatoes, pasta, rice, whole grains), it made a world of difference.
