Dion MartineauMrs. MerrellB3 Jr. EnglishApril 10Stephen Hawking and his discoveries as a scientistStephen Hawking is a famous American scientist who studies cosmology and a theoretical physicist who has inspired many other scientists around the world. Albert Einstein had a great influence on Hawking because he liked Einstein's theory of relativity, he used it to study black holes. Stephen Hawking also has an influence on other scientists today like Brian Cox who has a TV show that talks about and studies black holes, he also influenced very young children like Charlie Saur who also loves the study black holes and did a lot of research on this subject. Stephen Hawking achieved a lot in his life, going to Oxford University at 17 and studying maths and science which he thought was "ridiculously easy". He was a very intelligent student, people at school called him “Einstein”. He also went to Trinity Hall, Cambridge where he studied his higher studies. The year passed and Hawking got married to Jane, the first year was hectic for them, they were constantly traveling around the United States, they also had difficulty finding a house to live in, their whole family was scientists, they all shared a taste for and worked on many projects dealing with science. Over the years Hawking developed a serious illness which left him unable to walk, he can walk but he has to use crutches and has not attended many lectures as his condition takes over, he has also lost the ability to write. Knowing that his condition was getting worse day by day, he refused to give up and continue his studies and was eventually given a wheelchair to get around due to his ability to walk. Hawking's discoveries and... middle of paper ... what he said to people who don't know exactly what he's saying. Hawking would have many arguments with other scientists that black holes do not exist, but those scientists would lose this argument due to the evidence of Hawking's findings. There have been many documentaries about Hawking's discoveries and other scientists' theories. Through Hawking's help with black hole and galaxy theories, Hawking's condition worsened when he used a machine to communicate with people and sit on a chair to move for the rest of his life, he married again and is happy with his family, still searching and studying quantum gravity happily and finding new things in doing it. Many people today are touched by his work and books and would like to one day specialize in a scientific field and continue his studies and develop new theorems..
