    Preserving wildlife can be an important contribution to the lives of our animals, but what if the lives of these animals prevent our economy from earning money? 'money ? Why do we have to risk the lives of these innocent animals? I chose this topic on wildlife preservation because I believe that we humans who have a voice should speak out and do so. I watched TV documentaries about animals, showing helpless animals who had nowhere to go because of whatever we decided to slaughter. Yes, it may be true that we need to use our natural resources to survive, but why not get more involved in recycling and other substitutes? These wildlife preservation measures must remain safe so that these animals can help our environment naturally. Game preservation is a protected area while hunting of certain species of animals is not permitted. This allows species to be exploited across a vast territory without having to worry about hunters doing what they love to do: killing animals. The first wildlife refuge was established by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1903. (Freedman 1) By 1988, on national wildlife refuges, closely regulated hunting was allowed in 60% of the refuges. (Freedman 1) Why create a safe home for animals while allowing hunting? Shelters are made to keep animals away from hunters and people who try to kill them, why spend all that money to have their goal neglected? We spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to purchase the property and it seems like it's all wasted. Yellow Stone Park seems to be the only wildlife conservation site that actually uses it to keep the animals safe. This is one of the most well-known protected areas in North America, fortunately hunting is not allowed there.
