Physicians must create an atmosphere that will engage their patients in an open and free-flowing dialogue. Through dialogue, doctors obtain clues that lead to a more accurate diagnosis. It’s not just about making patients comfortable; it's about showing empathy and showing that you actually care about their problem. From what I've seen, each doctor has their own way of doing things. His patients seemed very comfortable and really open. I learned that when patients speak, doctors must listen carefully to their language and tone of voice while being attentive to their bodies.
