    The Mobro 4000 was a barge that transported a bunch of waste from New York to Belize and then back to New York until they found a solution for the eliminate. The Mobro was licensed to Lowell Harrelson, who was an entrepreneur, and mob boss Salvatore Avellino. The Mobro was shipped on March 22, 1987, led by a tugboat called Break of Dawn, carrying approximately 3,000 tons of waste. It moved to Morehead City, North Carolina to be converted into methane. On April 1, 1987, authorities in North Carolina investigated the vessel, which then prompted the Mobro to depart for another location. He went to Mexico but the Mexican Navy refused to let him enter its maritime or aquatic territory. He left and reached Belize but was rejected throughout the journey and so returned to New York. Upon arrival, he faced intense problems that prevented him from docking in New York. Ultimately, the waste was incinerated and buried in Islip, where it originated.
