    Martin Luther King Jr. and Socrates, both born in different times, are both similar in that they both stand for their beliefs, and so different in that which concerns their approach to redemption and their views on the issue of civil disobedience. Dr. King was a victim of his skin color and Socrates of his way of thinking. Socrates and Martin, through the use of persuasion and personality, make it clear that what they did was not civil disobedience, but that they acted for the good of society.
