    Intro: Communication Theories, is a course that has helped me gain a much better perspective and has also broadened my understanding and knowledge of some of the major theories. I appreciate that over the course of the semester, this course did an admirable job of introducing me to a variety of well-known and widely studied theories in the field of communication. One of the most important things I took away from this course was how the course allowed me to learn how to apply certain theories to my life in a practical way through certain class activities, readings, assignments group, presentations and homework. . In the following article, I will cover three main things. I will start by introducing all the members of my family and describing them a little individually. I will then talk about the five theories that I have selected that I can apply to myself and my family. I will then describe each of the five theories, give an example of my own family's experience that applies to the theories, and give an analysis of the experience using the theory. And finally, I will share with you my conclusion, which will basically conclude everything I learned while writing this article. Family: In my immediate family, there are 5 members in our household. As a family, we have lived in Bloomington, MN for about 10 years now. My father Brian, who is in his fifties, is employed by the Toro company where he is responsible for the financial department. My mother-in-law Roxanne, who is in her forties, is employed by the government where she is a probation officer. My younger brother Niles, age 20, is currently enrolled in community college in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
