    Charity presented herself as a loyal and caring person, then revealed her self-centered, judgmental and hypocritical personality. I encountered a situation where I needed a friend and she completely ignored me and started talking about me behind my back. In line with what Ericsson said: “For example, I recently realized that a former friend was a liar” (409), Charity presented me with a largely concealed disguise. She always wanted the people around her to believe that she was this wonderful, caring friend, but in reality she was far from it.
