60% of our body is made up of liquid and water is one of the most common liquids we know. We need water as human beings, but if the water was contaminated and impure, we would have a lot of diseases spreading and causing death everywhere. So NASA created a water purification device and its job is basically to purify water. One of the main reasons why NASA did this is because of its space program. We could extract as much water from our atmosphere, but it won't last long because the water will become dirty and unfit for drinking. Water is used for many things and the water cycle does not exist in space, so water purification is a water cycle, but in a machine. The machine purifies polluted water or any contaminated water. The world as we know it has been polluted, it's air and water. NASA has created a water purification system that can purify waste water over and over again. Two of the main tasks of the water purification system are to eliminate bacteria and viruses present in the water. One way NASA is doing this is by using a device that would release water filled with negatively charged silver atoms. These silver atoms would then retain the bacteria and destroy them. NASA used to send shipments of water to spaceships, but they figured they needed to be more environmentally friendly, so they decided to purify the water. We expel sweat, tears and urine and the system is capable of recycling 95% of water, but liquids like urine are more difficult to recycle. Urine is given chromium dioxide and sulfuric acid to kill microbes and prevent chemical reactions that create odors. Then the water is put into a distillation cylinder which rotates and the distiller then creates the heat which... middle of paper ......e to purify the water again so we can drink it in completely safe. In America however, they have more advanced wastewater treatment systems than Indonesia. In America they could drink tap water, but in Indonesia we can never trust them. Water is used in restaurants and restaurants take care of their water because they do not want their customers to be contaminated by their water and therefore need to ensure that their water is pure and safe to drink and use for cooking. We people are more aware of water and the dangers it presents, not of the living creatures in the water but of what is inside the water and we have nature human to think carefully. The water purification system has a very big impact in our lives and we appreciate the people who help us keep our water safe and reliable to create a healthier body and sometimes a meal.
