    Egyptian history is rich, dynamic and full of interesting cultural knowledge. Egypt is one of the most fertile countries on the Mediterranean Sea; because about 40,000 years ago, many men lived in Egypt earlier than elsewhere. The Egyptian environment is a hot and dry area, being part of the Sahara Desert. The religious beliefs of many Egyptians were polytheistic; they believed in several different gods. The economy of ancient Egypt was different because they were one of the first groups in the world to engage in agricultural trade. Although Egyptian history took place many years ago, it remains interesting and fascinating. (Environment/culture, religion, economics) Of course, ancient Egypt was known for its pyramids. Which was used to store the corpses of deceased kings and whatever else they thought they would need in the afterlife. Temples were designed in a consistent pattern, usually with an entrance, open courts, a covered hall, and an inner sanctuary. As we often see on television, as we walked down the temple corridor, the width became narrower and narrower. This is not surprising at all, but only priests were allowed to enter the sanctuary. Ancient Egyptian paintings, mostly seen in temples, were bright and colorful. These paintings presented both the daily lives of the Egyptians and their ideas about the afterlife. The population of ancient Egypt ranged between 1.5 and 6 million depending on the period. Most people lived near the Nile, but a significant number of people also lived in the Nile Delta. The population of the desert was small compared to the population of the Nile and its delta. Ancient Egypt had almost the same eth...... middle of paper ...... hey, they didn't have any cash at all. In fact, products were traded and workers were paid in wheat, barley and, sometimes, handicrafts like pottery and clothing. Overall, ancient Egypt saw many great achievements. The Egyptians built pyramids in honor of their pharaohs, which are legendary today. Although they worshiped many different gods, they believed in life after death and developed a system of mummification. Their civilization had a fairly advanced economy.
