    According to Longman, poetry is a piece of writing, arranged in a pattern of lines and sounds, expressing a human thought, feeling, or experience in imaginative language (Santi: 2010). By a similar definition, Wordsworth defines poetry as the expression of an imaginative feeling or a feeling of invention (Fadila: 2011). Shelley said that poetry is the record of every second of impression events such as moments of happiness, romance, disaffection, even sadness, caused by the death of beloved people. From these statements, it can be known that poetry is a literary work that conveys the thoughts and feelings of the authors and directs the readers into their imaginary world to imagine the phenomena that occur in that poetry. So poetry can tell stories, draw pictures and describe something. Moreover, poetry is not only about human feelings, but also about the art of diction. Samuel Taylor Coleridge proposes poetry as the most beautiful words (Fadila: 2011). Clearly, to obtain a beautiful literary work, the author composes and arranges the words as best as possible. Carlyle defines poetry as musical thoughts (Fadila: 2011). So, the author creates the poem by selecting melodious sounds as music in his poem. Furthermore, Dunton presents the definition of poetry as concrete and artistic human thought in emotional and rhythmic language (Fadila: 2011). Typically, poetry is composed to reveal something special through artistic means. It is believed that in poetry, many words must be selected to represent the meaning of a poem, as if it could represent an illustration of the authors. This is because poetry is created through language as a medium, and therefore never outside of diction.
