  • Essay / Influences of Love: A Comparison of William Shakespeare...

“Love is not a love that is altered when an alteration occurs” (“William”). Like a newborn creature, love looks around and evaluates, planning its next move. Match the two lovers so they can spend forever together; the only goal of love. Before love can bring two people together, it must evaluate the situation around it. Do they have the right chemistry? Well, if one person wants to start a family and the other doesn't, then no. If one likes camping and the other does too, then yes. There is only one important question for love to answer; Does this change over time? Some will say of course because everything changes over time. Others may say no because of the raw emotion that comes from love. Love comes from the heart and soul deep within. It doesn't matter if in the 18th or 24th century, love doesn't change. Some will say that love is just an emotion while others will say that it is a living, breathing creature. Songs and poems have been written about love for hundreds and thousands of years. Love has existed since the dawn of time, whether we believe in the Big Bang or Adam and Eve. Without love, there would be no world as it is today. But with love comes pain. William Shakespeare and Max Martin know this and knew it. Both ingenious poets wrote love songs about pain and suffering and about blossoming and rediscovered love. The eccentric ideal is that the two writers were born centuries apart. How could they both know that love and pain worked together when they were born 407 years apart? Love must therefore never change. Love survives and remains its original being throughout the hundreds and thousands of years it has flourished. Although centuries apart, William Shakespeare and Max Martin share the same vision of love, whether in the middle of a paper each spring. Every spring comes new flowers and every day comes new love.
