Driving a car is a privilege that goes without saying, just like technology. Together, this causes a lot of harm and distracts concentration from the road. For example, on a road trip, there was a car in front of mine that was driving quite recklessly; appearing to swerve, slow down and speed up. It was a long drive that ended on a two-lane highway. During the entire ride, I had a constant battle in my head over whether the police should be called to keep the road safe. Their driving appeared to be that of a drunk driver. Soon, this person hit the car in front of him. Stop to help as a witness to the accident; it was clear he was a distracted driver. This accident shows that distracted phone calls can be almost as bad as a drunk driver. Laws have been made to prevent this, but it appears to be a losing battle. There are organizations across the country trying to prevent texting and driving. Snapchatting while driving is incredibly common; so much so that it has a filter so it doesn't break and roll away. Social media is a big part of why technology has taken over our roads and our society. Multitasking drivers abuse the privileges we have with our vehicles and our phones. They don't seem to be contacted; However, if we send them an SMS, reading will be guaranteed at least if they are in the
