  • Essay / Growth of Canada as a Nation during the First World War - 936

Canadians contributed in many ways to our country's great efforts during the First World War. The Canadians literally owned the entire country and placed enormous demands on the Canadian population, whether they were involved in the fighting or remained on the home front to work in industry or agriculture to support the war effort. Canada grew enormously during the war as a nation, individually and emotionally. The Canadian troops had to be strong and responsible because they were always running from one front to the other and had to be strong so that little things wouldn't bother them and they wouldn't become emotionally unstable and could put an end to it. Strength played a major role throughout the war, as did courage, and every Canadian troop possessed both of these elements, making them a powerful army to attack against. Canada's sacrifices and contributions to the war changed its history and allowed them to become more independent and form friendships with Britain. became stronger and stronger. Canada was first inducted into the First World War when Britain declared war on Germany on August 4, 1914. Canada, as an ally of Britain, was to support those who were participating in the war, even if they knew they were not there and they were all fighting on the front, they were reinforcements. just in case the German soldiers broke through the trenches and headed towards France. Later, the governor general also declared war on Germany, but the Canadians fought under the command of a British commander. The achievements of the Canadian army during the First World War occurred during the battles of the Somme, Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele and what later became known as "Canada's Hundred Days". They help fight for freedom and peace for the small village of Passchendaele and yet as it was a muddy hell they still persevered until middle of paper ......d lifestyle and they started alone and no Canadian could enter except on land. Canada became a superior nation through its perseverance, courage and even focus as it persevered through many dark battles and ensured that they all came out together as a unit other than individuals. Their courage made them 100% stronger because they did not shy away from any task and they were not afraid of losing their lives to help a friend and a country survive. Care has played a major role in the hearts of every Canadian. They cared about Britain so they shouldn't help them when they declared war, they helped other troops with their emotional problems and finally they even cared a little about their enemies because they are the same person, but the only thing that separates them is there is culture. Canadians contributed in many ways to our country's great efforts during the First World War..
