    Divorce is defined as “a complete or radical separation of closely related things” and in this particular scenario, it is the separation of man and the wife (divorce). Unfortunately, divorce has become a very likely outcome of marriages today, challenging the ideology that marriages are “made in heaven.” As divorce begins to be accepted as a common practice, separation rates within couples gradually increase. The idea of ​​divorce, considered by many to be a sin, has become a major concern in our society. Divorce of all kinds is becoming commonplace in the United States, but its negative effects leave men, women, and children in psychological turmoil. Divorce is one of those problems with endless probable causes. Perhaps younger couples are less committed and make less effort to resolve issues that might otherwise be resolved through discussion and compromise. However, according to Daily Infographic, divorce is usually caused by poor communication, financial problems, abuse, infidelity, and lack of attraction (Divorce in America). It could be a single cause, or a multitude of causes that could push a once-loving couple to the point of signing legal papers. According to the Neighborhood Legal Services Association, types of divorce can be generalized into four main categories: mutual consent, fault, two-year separation, and confinement (Pennsylvania divorce law). Each of these categories will be explained in the following paragraphs. In most divorce cases, both parties must come to an agreement before proceeding with legal proceedings.
