    The aim of the study is to assess the importance of the characteristics of leaders and their economic interest in strengthening community capacities in tourism development. Information for this study came from survey questionnaires. The interviewees were community leaders from Shiraz, Iran. The results of the multiple regression analysis indicate that about 74 percent (R² = 0.737) of the CCB variance for tourism development was predicted by manager income, tourism income, additional activities, duration of residence, education level and family engaged in activities. tourism industry. According to the results, the most important beta coefficient is the income of managers from tourism (ß=0.350). It is expected that the results can be used by community developers for future reassessment of tourism planning.
