  • Essay / Wearable Arts - 775

In my opinion, fashion is something created to cover our body. There are many fashions that can be distinguished. There are clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry. One of the fashion trends that I think is very unique is wearable art. What is wearable art? I think portable art is artwork that is not hung or placed in a corner of the exhibit. Wearable arts comes from two words; portable and art. Wearable means something that people can wear to cover their bodies, and art means the expression of human imagination. So it's nasty, wearable art is the creation of an artist who has made the human body his canvas (World of Wearable Art, nd, npg). Wearable arts designed just for the catwalk. We can't use it for our daily activity clothes. In this essay, I will discuss the characteristics of wearable arts and one of the wearable art dresses that I saw at the World of Wearable Arts exhibitions. In this paragraph, I will explain the characteristics of wearable art. Wearable art is not like other clothing that we can wear for our daily activity. In my opinion, wearable arts are created to show the imagination of the creators. Wearable art is not casual and is usually made from unique materials. How can we determine wearable art? Well, there are many ways to determine wearable art. Wearable arts have characteristics that differ from other clothing. One of the features is the material. Wearable art materials usually have meanings to explain the imagination of the creator. Thus the materials will create harmony between the style of the clothes and the messages of the designer. For example, I founded a wearable art exhibition in the world of wooden clothing. I think the designer of this dress wants to show us the situation ... middle of paper ...... when Hades took her away. She was picking flowers when Hades kidnapped her (Lindemans, 1997, npg). To conclude, I think wearable art is a unique way to express the imagination of artists and convey messages to art lovers. Wearable arts is a type of fashion that can only be worn on the catwalk, because the material of wearable clothes is too different from our normal clothes. In each of the dresses presented at wearable art exhibitions, there are their own implicit messages from the artist. This is one of the unique things I can get from wearable arts.
