To examine the influence of age and gender on the Stroop effect, the experimenter adopted the Stroop paradigm. In the Stroop paradigm, there are three: neutral or control groups, congruent and incongruent groups. The neutral/control group will receive stimuli in which only text or colors are presented (van Maanen L, van Rijn H & Borst JP, 2009). When the color of the word and the text of the word refer to the same color (e.g. the word "red" printed in red) it is a congruent stimulus. In Incongruous Stimulus, the color of the word and the color of the text differ (e.g. the word “red” printed in blue). The experimental data are in agreement with previous experiments carried out on the Stroop effect. The variance of the scores of the control group is less and insignificant according to the set criteria. For latency, the range of scores for the control group is well within the allowed range of 100 milliseconds. There was no significant difference between the scores of participants in the control group. For the latency-congruent group, the score varied in milliseconds, indicating the existence of differences between the experimental groups. Similarly, for the incongruent group, wounds also varied in milliseconds, again indicating the effect of variables. In the case of response accuracy, the variance of the control group data is less and insignificant. For the congruent group and the incongruent group, the variance is greater than the accepted criteria indicating the influence of the variables on the Stroop effect. Another observation that is consistent with previous experiments is the lower accuracy percentage and higher latency for the incongruent group. The experimental results of Stroop tests are likely to be recurrent (van Maanen L, van Rijn H &...... middle of article......effect. This theory suggests that recognizing and naming colors n 'is not an "automatic process". Attention must be shifted from the word to recognizing the color and there is a hesitation to respond, whereas reading a word is habitual. meaning and phonetics of the word does not require controlled attention It is therefore easier to read a word than to recognize the color of the word More than to theorize about the phenomenon of the Stroop effect, experimental data and observations. of the present study have application value are very essential because they can be applied in many situations where accuracy is more important than speed. This information has the widest application in the selection of individuals into professions. requiring instance data processing and correct answers..
