Frist FruitI love when scripture uses food to prove a point, it's the only way to get my full attention besides cars. By bearing fruit, we are to experience the nine fruits of the spirits, manifesting Christ in us. Of course, it's not easy to post all nine, especially with my experience driving in South Florida. As I drive from Palm Beach County to Miami Dade County, I lose joy, peace, love, gentleness, temperance, long suffering and especially gentleness. That's seven fruits out of nine, all because I have a low tolerance for simple-minded drivers. Through prayer, the Lord gave me a simple situation: “Stop driving to Miami and take the train. I will provide transportation once you get there. If your ride is late, please be patient (long suffering) and wait for them and don't walk. As I frequently travel back and forth to see family, I weigh my options seven fruits to one lost. I can handle these odds. I can do this alone, in order to manage my regular travel, I must pray until I arrive at my destination, abiding in Christ. Remain attached to the vine, the source of my strength.AdorationAdoration moves from gestures to words of exaltation towards the Lord. This chapter deals with the different gestures used to captivate the attention of our Lord and three fusions of exaltation. Raising one's hand in worship is towdah, an act of surrender and thanksgiving. Surrender by raising your flag in total submission and thank Him in worship by accepting our submission. Kneeling before the Lord is barak, another form of worship and the Hebrew word for bless. We bless the Lord by bowing before Him, as we would a king or queen entering a building. Exaltation to the Lord is a three part concept, thank you...... middle of paper ...... he began to drown, that's when his faith was renewed in Jesus and that he was able to return with Jesus to the boat. (Crocker, M, Houston, J and Ligthelm. S, track 4) This song brought me to worship where I could cry out to God, to use me freely. And if we Christians had a faith without boundaries, what could we do for Christ without fear. Walking on water, taking in an orphan and raising him as my own child, or going to the Middle East and sharing the Gospel of Christ without fear of death. My fear and lack of faith prevent the Kingdom of God from advancing. 2 Timothy 1:7, The Lord said that he has not given us the spirit of fear, but the power of love and a sound mind (King James Version). He gave me the power to overcome all levels of fear: the fear of the lion, what I hear, the fear of the snake, what I see, and the fear of the dragon, what I imagine..
