  • Essay / global warming - 696

Scientists have been aware of the potential harmful effects of greenhouse gases since 1824, when Joseph Fourier, a French mathematician and physicist, determined through mathematical calculations that our planet would be much more of a colder place if the Earth were empty of its atmosphere. Earth's atmospheric gases allow light to penetrate but trap heat and inhibit its release, known as the "greenhouse effect" or "climate change." In this article, I will discuss the causes and effects of global warming and how the rapid acceleration of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere may be problematic since the majority of living things and creatures on Earth could have struggle to cope or acclimatize to these irregular and unstable temperature changes. Since its realization in 1824, the predominant view of the scientific community has been that the increase in greenhouse gases emitted into the Earth's atmosphere by the actions of humanity is attributed to the significant increase in global temperatures. The rate at which the earth's population emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere is literally uncontrolled in countless forms such as factory emissions, the burning of fossil fuels or the large-scale clearing of natural forests, which have all contributed to high levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. , which contributed to the warming of the earth's surface. Unfortunately, this imbalance generated by our own actions is already manifesting itself in the form of an increase in natural disasters, of a more violent nature, such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, landslides, tsunamis and droughts. important contributing factor to this global warming crisis...... middle of paper ...... can be taken to limit its effects. The more we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, coupled with tighter government restrictions on manufactured goods to minimize greenhouse gas emissions from global warming, the better chance we have of making significant progress in reversing the harmful effects of global warming. , I really enjoyed this assignment because at the end of my research I had a greater appreciation and understanding of the delicate nature of our atmosphere. I learned how our careless release of greenhouse gases is negatively impacting the climate and instead contributing to global warming. I also feel better informed about the actions I can take to help overthrow it, and with my new knowledge, I feel more comfortable educating others on this very important issue...
