Academic Integrity PolicyThe idea of ​​academic integrity is based on the commitment to fostering a professional and ethical environment based on guiding principles that require a student to provide honest and hard work. It is essential to the success of the teaching and research missions of a university and an institution, and violations of these policies constitute serious offenses not only against the author, but also against of the entire community. The principles of academic integrity require that the student acknowledge and cite the ideas, results, or words of others that are not the original student's own, as well as all contributors to a given work. Any work produced and submitted for grading or presentation must also be done without the assistance of others or from materials not listed or approved. All data used in such work must also be obtained by ethical means and reported accurately without omitting any portions due to bias or personal conflicts with the interpretation or conclusions. A person must not interfere with the work of other students and must treat them with respect and honor their right to pursue their educational goals. By adhering to such policies, everyone receives appropriate and necessary credit for their work and other academic achievements. . Each student is equally treated and graded fairly and no individual student has an advantage that others do not have. Through these policies, the academic and ethical development of all students is supported and the University's reputation for integrity in teaching, research and scholarship is assured. The penalty for a level four offense or a repeat offense at level three is permanent expulsion from the University.
