My goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant. I would like to graduate from Saint Michael's College with a major in accounting and minors in mathematics, economics and business. I think this would make me a well-rounded candidate to apply for a job. I also want to do an internship between my junior and senior years and maybe that will get me a job. I'm not sure when I would like to study my master's degree, as I was told that the employer could help me pay for my studies, as most employers want someone to become a chartered accountant. For a job, I would eventually like to be part of one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. I believe that with one of these on my resume, I would be able to do anything I want in the accounting field. Finally, if it bores me, I could pursue my doctorate in accounting and perhaps teach the field of accounting to students.
