As population and globalization increase, this contributes to the expansion of industries that pollute chemicals and particles into the planet's air and waters. The needs and demands for energy to support the growth of industries around the world have provided opportunities for the expansion of nuclear power plants and coal-fired power plants. With each installation put into operation, an increase in pollution occurs in the environment. Pollutants present in water and air have a negative effect on the health of citizens as well as the ecosystem. The research will focus on industrial pollution and its effects on water supplies, as well as its effects on public health and the environment. Population growth and demand throughout the industrialized and developed world have allowed industries, over the years, to operate unsupervised. Before societal and government concern or attention, industries released industrial pollutants and toxic materials into waterways and oceans.
