For example: someone considers older people fragile or useless, or when we think older people are bad drivers and therefore should not not be allowed to drive. Younger people are also victims of discrimination. They are seen as lazy, irresponsible and immature. Ageism makes people feel worthless. Discrimination is when an individual or group is judged negatively based on their physical characteristics, the color of their skin, the way they dress, their language, their customs, etc. There are other types of discrimination as well. Some elderly people, people with disabilities, religious groups and gender discrimination face discrimination. Human rights are fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world. This means that we have the right to live freely, to vote in elections, to receive an education, that we have freedom of speech, religious rights, the right to own property and the right to be treated equally of equality. Our human rights are protected by law. Social justice is the belief that all individuals deserve equal economic, political, and social rights and opportunities. Examples of social justice include: gay rights, women's rights, and environmental rights. Social justice also allows individuals to access medical care, education and public services.
