How do you classify whether someone is human or not? A tricky question has many possible answers, but only a few could be justified as human. Kazuo Ishiguro addressed this topic in his book Never Let Me Go. A recurring question throughout the novel is whether or not these clones are considered a human being or just another science project. In the novel, suspicious individuals from the surrounding communities believed that the students were not human because they could not reproduce, that they had no parents, and that what the students were experiencing was morally unacceptable. In my opinion, Ishiguro shows that the clones are indeed human, due to their artwork, which proves that they have creativity, that they show emotions, and that the clones can do human things.
