This academic goal is important to me because people have always told me that I wouldn't be able to do something and at some point, I started to believe it, but I had seen a quote from Sugar Ray Robinson that said, "To be a champion, you have to believe in yourself when no one else will." » Reading this quote and understanding what he was saying, I realized that I cannot spend time trying to make others believe in me, especially when it comes to academic goals. I realized that graduating from college and earning a degree should be a goal I want to achieve because I believe I can and not a goal I want to force others to believe I can , especially when they don't believe it.
