    This report will reflect on the theories, strategies and skills learned through this module on personal development. It will also explore how these learning outcomes can contribute to improving work elements and better understanding others. This module focused on the social and emotional aspects of teaching and learning. We started from understanding the meaning of social and emotional development and other aspects of it, to more complex topics such as self-awareness, the impact of one's social and emotional production, importance of verbal and non-verbal communication. We have looked at various counseling theories and approaches that are useful for both our personal and professional lives. To better understand a person's socio-emotional characteristics, it is important to know how their first relationship went. The first relationship begins with our family, parents are the children's first teachers, they learn the basics from them (appendix a, Journal 1). Bowlby's attachment theory explains the types of attachment. He states that attachment experiences early in the year will influence children's ability to build attachment later in life. His theory also mentions that maternal deprivation can affect children's development in the long term. As parents are children's primary counterparts, they have a great influence on them, especially on their parenting styles. According to Baumrind's parenting styles, children's behaviors are a reflection of how their parents treat them. I believe it is important to have a balance when dealing with children, I have noticed that my parents are more authoritarian which gives me the freedom to enjoy my life while having the idea of ​​working to achieve my goals. Children need a safe and secure attachment during their early years to avoid social barriers later in life. As children get older, they spend more time in school. An appropriate and pleasant environment is therefore necessary. Faced with classroom management and behavior, teachers must encourage and help children when needed. There are many techniques and skills to help teachers manage challenging behavior. Counseling approaches are helpful in better understanding why a child behaves in a certain way. The teacher can use them to help children and their families. The learning outcomes are practical because I am able to integrate them into my personal and professional life..
