IntroductionNowadays, technological advancements are creating so many things that we never imagined. One of the magnificent products created by man is the electronic book, known as e-book. This technology seems to go against their traditional way of reading human history. The electronic book according to A new English Dictionary on Historical Principle (1989) is an electronic version of a printed book which can only be read and manipulated by a personal computer or a device designed for this purpose. While searchmobilecomputing.com (2000, November 8) defines that the electronic book is a traditional printed book but in electronic version which can only be read by an electronic reader. Besides e-readers such as iLiad, computers and some mobile phones can also be used to read the e-book. The e-book can be downloaded easily from the Internet. Usually it takes five minutes or less. Positive impacts of e-book According to Sasson (2005), there are many positive impacts of e-book. One of them is environmentally friendly. Compared to printed books which consume a lot of paper pulp and use a lot of wood, e-books do not require any paper, which could save more trees and thus keep the environment green. Additionally, eBooks can also be printed. For people who prefer to read books the traditional way, they can easily print them with a home printer or simply visit a nearby printing station. E-books also provide benefits to publishers. Due to the rapid advancement of communication technology these days, they can easily be distributed via the Internet. (Sasson, 2005) We can also get the books easily as they were distributed. So, you don't need to waste your time driving your vehicle or searching for buses or taxis just to search for books. It's very convenient and ...... middle of paper ...... you won't have to argue if your partner will be bored when you read in bed. (Johnson, 2005) Conclusion Many articles claim that e-books bring many benefits to our daily lives. It helps us improve our lifestyle. Before creating an e-book, you might find it difficult to fill your time with reading, especially when you are in an inappropriate place like a crowded bus. Now your problem is solved. Some people don't like this change in reading style. They think this will pose a problem that has never been posed before. For example, the e-book will put many people out of work due to the closure of bookstores. (Wharris, 2010) Yet we can find something to solve this problem rather than not facing everything. We should implement this change in all sectors, especially in education. Maybe we should replace traditional printed textbooks with electronic textbooks..
