    Focused Questions 51. I think the most common way I see teachers helping children is by being a role model. Show children how to act towards their peers and authority figures. Children are very intuitive, they understand things very easily. So if you show respect to children, they will take it with them and show respect to others. I noticed that whenever a child was having trouble, one of the teachers would always get down to their level and talk to them, making sure to make eye contact and not talk above them. about him but rather to talk to him. Asking the child if anything was bothering him and simply working on focusing on that child and respecting how he really felt seemed to help the child calm down and realize that arguing and pushing to get what he wanted is not the best way to handle things. I think it also helped that the teacher not only respected the child, but did so with love. She didn't act like she was better than the child or knew more, she simply listened to him and spoke to him on his level. I think it helps to model acceptable behavior, but also to do it with love. Watching teachers respect each other and work with each other to improve the class, listening to each other and giving advice on certain issues or changes they think need to be made. Having teachers work together and respecting each other's advice and suggestions shows children how to work with their peers.2. I think it's important to explain what the child did wrong and why it wasn't safe, but be polite in how you talk to them, children are skeptical and seem more nervous and scared when 'They know they're in trouble. I think my program approaches situations calmly and respectfully, it gives the child a chance to talk about what happened or why they did it without attacking or scaring them. However, I also feel like my program is a little more relaxed for the disciples, I think the kids are doing a lot better in class without being talked to or even getting caught, I think that's difficult because there are so many children for so few teachers. for the teachers to detect any problems that arise, and I think they are all a little relaxed in handling situations.
