  • Essay / Abortion: pro-life or pro-choice and nothing in between

There are two different types of people when it comes to abortion, pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-lifers believe that every child deserves a chance regardless of circumstances and that the government has the right to refuse abortion, while pro-choice people believe that an individual can make their own decision and do what they want. he wants (Head).Nearly half of all pregnancies are unwanted and about 4 in 10 of them are terminated. The percentage of abortions in all pregnancies is 22 percent. Each year, about 2 percent of women between the ages of 15 and 44 have an abortion, half of whom have had an abortion before. Women in their 20s account for more than half of abortions obtained. Additionally, there is no evidence of post-abortion syndrome. Abortions are usually performed during the first trimester, during which the fetus cannot physically exist outside the uterus, its health depends on the mother (Lowen).
